Create your own wedding website

When planning your wedding, it is always a good idea to make your guests aware of your wedding date well ahead of time so they can make the necessary arrangements to be there. I recommend sending out a save-the-date about 6 to 8 months in advance of your wedding, which will help to ensure a good turnout on your big day.

Save-the-dates can come in several forms. You can send out physical cards or magnets or, you can save time and money by sending out save-the-date ecards. For added convenience, you can even include a clickable link directly to your wedding website on your save-the-date ecard so your guests don’t have to physically enter your website URL into the browser address field. And, because ecards are electronic, they are also good for the environment!

If you make note of your wedding website address on your physical save-the-date or ecard, you can direct your guests to the site for more information. Doing so will not only make your guests aware of your wedding website and where to go to learn more about your wedding plans, your recommendations and where to go for future updates, but it will also prevent you from having to personally field calls or emails about where to stay, what to do or where you’re registered because all of that information will most likely already be available on your wedding website – if you choose to include it.

If at all possible, try to create a cohesive look across each of your wedding elements by coordinating the look of your save-the-date with your wedding colors and/or wedding website design. This will allow you to set the tone for the rest of your wedding from the first introduction.

An excerpt from Bhagavad Gita

Look to this day,
For it is life,
The very life of life.
In its brief course lie all the varieties
And realities of your existence;
The bliss of growths
The glory of action,
The splendor of beauty;
For yesterday is but a dream
And tomorrow is only a vision,
But today well lived makes
Every yesterday a dream of happiness
And every tomorrow a vision of hope.
Look well, therefore, to this day.
Such is the salvation of the dawn.

I Promise

To take time for you and pursue you passionately

And I promise to love you compassionately

I do seek to understand your needs so deeply

And I promise each day to love you so completely

I will provide a home of love and emotional purity

And I promise love, laughter, honesty and a life where you feel security

I will make time for you, for without you I have no time

And I promise you to cherish, honor, respect, admire and be kind

Time may take us down a path where you need to be taken care of

And I promise to hold you, clean you and continue to admire you with love

If life places pain in your heart I will be there to fill it with love

And I promise each day to pray for our health and happiness from God above

I will awaken each day to see your sweet smile and feel your touch

And I promise to bring you happiness and laughter, I love you so much

I will be there for you each day of my life

And I promise to make you happy for you are my wife

I give you my heart, I love you girl that can’t you see

And I promise to you to be very attentive and caring indeed

I have ran for miles swearing my love to you for life

And I promise to God to honor you, my beautiful wife

I Love you

After Valentine’s day, and planning consider couples frequently breaks because of money… so here are some inputs for a conversation BEFORE the “I do”

Whether the issues are big or small, money will prove a powerful force impacting your marriage — sometimes overtly in the form of routine arguments; sometimes quietly as animosities seethe beneath the surface for years, only to explode into a potentially marriage-ending supernova.

What couples don’t always grasp is that money is rarely the real culprit. It’s the lack of communication, often stemming from a lack of knowledge about each other’s personal financial quirks and beliefs.

So, some time between “Yes, I will marry you,” and “I do,” you and your partner need to have The Money Talk — the key questions all couples should ask of one another.

Here are four of the more important questions to ask each other, since they provide insight and information on how money will flow through your marriage.

1. What Are Your Assets and Liabilities?
2. What Is Your Money History?
3. How Should We Divide Financial Duties?
4. Do We Combine Accounts or Operate Individually?

Read the answers and the full article here

Ultimately, all of these questions are about one thing: communication. Learn to talk about money early and often, and you can mitigate the financial tensions that are normal in all marriages.

Wedding rings are very personal magical objects.

Bride and groom will always wear them from the wedding day, so the wedding ring will have to be comfortable and reflect personal liking. This is why wedding rings have to be chosen by the couple together.

Consider though some fundamental aspects before choosing [remember Four Weddings and a Funeral?]

  1. traditions say it is the fiance that will purchase them, but sometimes one of the bestmen (or a close relative or even the best friend) would like to offer them. Once purchased they have to be kept in a safe place by a very accurate and reliable beloved [recall the movie]
  2. they are usually stored by the bestman, but be sure that he/she is very very precise and punctual. The emotions of the day, hurry,  and unexpected events this is the safest way of having wedding rings there in the right place at the right time to be exchanged.wedding rings
  3. consider creating a small rings holder. usually a small squared or hart-shaped white pillow. It will have two ribbons to hold the rings and avoid them to fall down. An good option is to ask the atelier that made your wedding gown to create a ring holder which coordinates with your dress.
  4. finally rings can be delivered to the couple by a child or stored by the bestman that will pass them in the right moment .

Medieval Feast in Vicopisano 5-6 Sept. 2009

In 1996 Vicopisano (a wonderful village close to Pisa) starts the tradition of the Medieval Feast that this year is at its 14th edition. The marvelous historical center of the village and the magical atmosphere created by the participants make it an event you cannot miss.

There are historical groups, medieval tents, musicians and theatrical representations about the medieval theme. This feast recalls games of the middle ages and food. Food can never miss in such a feast and along the streets there can be found “taverne” ancient restaurants, where you can have some “medieval fast food” or outside the center you can have a complete restaurant meal.

Inside the Palazzo Pretorio there will be this year a photo gallery with the images of last year photographic contest of the feast.

More than this, though, the magical atmosphere of the feast is the real reason to be there. Here you will feel like being in between past and present.

The organizers of the feast can be contacted for further info at Segreteria della Festa in Via Lante, 50 Tel. +39 050 796117
